Amazing

That is my word for today in describing the experience last night.

With Amberly being a premie baby at only 3lb9oz born on Dec. 6, she spent the first month of her life (including Christmas) in an incubator. The NICU had the radio on Magic 96 which, as you know plays Christmas music around the clock that time of year; so she has in essence always been a Christmas Miracle for us.

Her speech has not quite caught up with the average 3 1/2 year olds, but she makes up for that in her enthusiasm for life. She is usually very cautious when it comes to strangers and even family have difficulty getting a bye-bye hug from her if it is not on her agenda.

So your visit last night was not only extraordinarily special for so many reasons, but AMAZING that Amberly's reaction was as excited and happy as it turned out. She didn't calm down for almost 2 hours after you left. She wouldn't let anyone sit in her "Santa Chair" and she kept repeating "I play Nice now". I know children lose a portion of memories as they get older, but I have a feeling this will be one that will stay with her for the rest of her life. I can honestly say, I have never seen her so excited and so affectionate. I know everyone there will remember this special evening forever.

I honestly can't thank you enough for being a PERFECT YOU and for giving Christmas a new spirit of Wonderment for our Christmas Miracle baby.

Thank you so much for giving so much of yourself, Your awesome and amazing - you really have what it takes to portray such an important part of Christmas as SANTA.

Thank you,
Joy
